The most unique aspect of the recipes in the book is that all the ingredients are coded for specific food intolerance categories, according to the Carroll Food Intolerance Method, and a Food Substitutions List is included, helping to adapt ingredients in most recipes. There is nothing else like it available!

Funding is being sought to publish the book and create the website at http://www.thefoodintolerancecookbook.com. The site will promote the cookbook, give an online community their own forum to share in-the-kitchen experiences, and provide potential readers the ability to purchase The Food Intolerance Cookbook both as a printed book and in a variety of electronic formats (Kindle, Nook, PDF, etc.).

Has Anyone Had The Carroll Food Intolerance Test Done and Think It's Reliable?

I recently responded to a question asked on a website, whether anyone had the Carroll Food Intolerance Testing done and thought it was reliable. They explained how they had been tested but didn't take it seriously, that they were still suffering. They further questioned if maybe they have a wheat sensitivity.

This was my response:

Hello, I find it fascinating that you would go to the effort and expense of being tested and then not follow through, yet doubt the validity of the testing! Over 30 years ago I was evaluated by Dr. Harold Dick using the Carroll Food Intolerance testing method. It saved my life! I referred, and personally took others, to see him, now refer people to his daughter Dr. Letitia Dick (Windrose Naturopathic Clinic, Spokane WA.) and to Dr. Jared Zeff (Salmon Creek Clinic, Vancouver WA.). Countless patients can testify to being cured by these methods when nothing else worked. One acquaintance I know of had schlera derma, she was in incredible pain and the allopathic meds weren't helping. Dr. Dick tested her for food intolerances, she avoided them and not only did the swelling and pain go down but she was able to live without the meds.

The nature doctors know that every dis-ease known to man is created in the digestive system. It doesn't matter what the ailment is. The body is a healing machine if allowed to do what Nature intended it to. IBS is an obvious and immediate condition that points to something being ingested that the body is not able to break down and utilize, thus causing disruption and irritation. Without the proper digestive enzymes to break down the food, it then causes toxic reactions. We are all genetically predisposed to not having one digestive enzyme or another. Hence, the doctors using the Carroll Food Intolerance Test will evaluate the patient for a number of food categories.

I suggest you give it a try before touting that it doesn't work. I suspect you question that yourself, otherwise why bother asking others what results they've had? Aren't you just a little tired of searching for answers? And yet, it's right in front of you!

We have all been exposed to AMA endocrination, and that of the western medical world for over a century. They have treated and out-rightly called Naturopathic physicians "witch-doctors." They have made fun of us to our faces when we inquired about natural options. Yet, their methods of treatment only address symptoms, not causes. In doing so, the immediate symptoms might be masked, but the body is still sick, and the problem will only arise somewhere else.

My personal food intolerances are potato and a combination of fruit/sugar. There are many derivatives and chemicals created from the different food categories, so it takes a little effort to totally avoid them. I suggest checking out www.songofhealth.com, which identifies them and offers alternatives. You can also view clips of Doctors Letitia Dick and Jared Zeff, who explain the Carroll Food Intolerance methods in an easy and interesting manner. There's a lot of great recipes too!

It's worth a try, staying off the foods you've tested intolerant to. What have you got to lose but the pain and discomfort of being sick all the time?

I want to add something to this: It is common to feel sick and show symptoms of other dis-ease as the body goes through the healing process. It must reverse itself from the existing condition, basically going backwards, through the steps of chronic illness, through acute illness, then to wellness. It's possible, if this person was actually refraining from eating their food intolerances, that they may be going through healing crises on their way to reaching well being.

Best wishes. In Health,
Sandra

NO CURE FOR FOOD INTOLERANCE?

I am amazed at how many products there are on the market that are touted to relieve a person from having to avoid their personal food intolerances...not to mention how many methods are purported to identify them.

The connection between consuming foods a person is intolerant to and getting sick is actually pretty simple, albeit the medical explanation of what occurs in the body may be rather complex:

Simply, we are born with food intolerances! It is part of our genetic makeup - our DNA. Our bodies literally do not have the capability of creating the proper environment, such as producing the proper enzymes required, to digest a particular category of food. We have been asked at Song of Health.com if it is possible to take the required enzymes for digesting a particular food group, such as dairy. The answer is, unfortunately, no! The digestive enzyme for dairy is derived from dairy. To take the enzyme, then, would be to ingest the food intolerance.

As consumers and web-surfers, we are constantly bombarded with promises from umpteen companies that their product is the answer to relieving us of the inconvenience of having to avoid our food intolerances. This is simply not so! Granted, there are supplements that can help to temporarily relieve symptoms. The problem with relieving symptoms, however, while continuing to ingest the food intolerance is that cause for distress to the body is not eliminated. Just because the symptoms are masked - such as indigestion, bloating, headache, nausea, etc. – it doesn’t stop the body from reacting to the toxin violating it (the food it is intolerant to). The reaction then goes deeper into the system, and eventually a more severe situation is created. This is when the symptoms of a chronic problem become apparent – lupus, heart disease, cancer, irritable bowel syndrome and pretty much all other diseases known to humans (other than environmental poison).

Choosing to avoid our food intolerances in order to stay healthy is not a curse, nor is it so inconvenient and difficult that we can’t enjoy our lives, thoroughly and happily. It just takes knowing what to avoid and how to do that along with eating fresh, non-processed foods.

Song of Health.com furnishes all the informational tools needed in order to avoid eating food intolerances in a simple and easy manner. There are no gimmicks to maintaining well being and enjoying eating healthy for your own personal diet. With the right knowledge and support from others, it becomes a welcomed lifestyle.

The Importance of Identifying Food Intolerance

Are you faced with a health condition and your medical doctor has informed you that the only options

for treatment are drugs (to suppress the symptoms) or invasive surgery (to remove the affected

area)? If you have already gone this route, following treatment, do you still feel lousy?

You may be consuming foods you are intolerant to. You are genetically incapable of producing the

enzymes necessary for digesting them.

What occurs when you eat hash browns, for instance, and you are intolerant to potato? Because your

digestive system is not able to adequately process the food, it literally rots, fermenting and putrefying

in your gut. This causes the body to react to a substance that is toxic - poison. Acute symptoms may

be headache, stomach ache, bloating, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fatigue or other discomforts. Chronic

conditions occur when the body becomes so overloaded with toxins, caused from ingesting food

intolerance(s),that the immune system is no longer strong enough to maintain wellness. The result is dis-ease…fibromyalgia,cancer, lupus, muscular sclerosis, sclera derma, allergies - you name it.

Eliminating these toxins in the bodyis the first step to maintaining good health.

The Carroll Food Intolerance Evaluation method is the most reliable analysis we, at Song of Health.com,

havefound for determining a person's actual food intolerance. Depending on the condition of the patient,

sometimes merely removing these foods from the diet is all that is needed to return the patient to

wellness. Oftentimes, naturopathic treatment is required to help boost the body's natural immune

capabilities to heal. Constitutional hydrotherapy, in conjunction with natural medicines, is exceptionally

effective in helping to reverse the progress of the dis-ease and to begin the healing process.

At Song of Health learn how to find out what your food intolerances are and how to recognize them

as hidden ingredients in consumer products. You will also find comprehensive information, furnished

by renowned naturopathic physicians and experts, on alternative options for healing and maintaining

well being.
